Documentry recount writing the treaty of Waitangi

On the 6th of febuary 1840 a group of Maori and English people got together and was talking about signing the Treary of Waitangi . You could hear them from ages away because there were heaps of people. Te Rauparaha was tall I could see him from out of the tent. After that they traveled around New Zealand for other tribes to sign it. You could hear them coming so the tribe that he was heading towards hid their children and themselves. Only the tribe leader stayed out. They had a conversation, he signed the treaty. Te Rauparaha carried on traveling around New Zealnd. The next tribe he got towards he looked really scary. So the next tribe got there guns and stuff to protect themselves, but then he yelled It's alright I'm not going to hurt you guys. I'm here to talk to you about hthe treaty. That he was holding in his hands. The Treaty was long and big. He finally got home to the Bay Of Island from traveling for 3 weeks. But he carried on leading his tribe , in peace. Also the other tribes leaders tried very hard to follow the treaty that they signed.

Difference between South Africa and New Zealand

New Zealand is so different to South Africa! The mountains, the harbours, the city's, river's and the people so different here. I can tell you a lot of stuff about South Africa, it is a sunny country only when it is winter then maybe there would be clouds and rain but still sunny. Durbun has the hottest beach in South Africa. Its lowest temperature in the winter is 19 or 20 degrees. Cape Town has the most famous mountain in the world and its name is Table mountain. I have only been up there once because it is always full every weekend. Johannasburg is the biggest city in South Africa and has most South Africa's population. Soweto give's most of the population because of Apartheid. Port Elizabeth, my home town, it has the one of the most famous world cup stadium, can you believe it! Well I'm now in New Zealand, ROOM 17 RULE'S!!!!
Maddie's diary recount.

Dear Katie

It's 1945, that's all we've been told. We've won. The Japs have been forced out of the islands they had invaded although they've been left in a horrible state. Word came in that there have been more than 100 million people who fought in the war and and over 10 million people who died fighting. I can't wait to get out of this horrible place and take a hot bath. I'll be on my way home soon so get the christmas dinner ready but don't tell the kids I'm coming I want it to be a surprise.

love,

Paul

I could not believe what happend to that boy who got shot! He died in his brother's arms, it is such a sad sight to see that people getting shot! I HATE THESE WHITE FOOLS! Just because of colour, we can't go anywhere! We have to work cheap labour when they get the best jobs in the world! I really hate them!

We were protesting in front of the University of Cape Town, because they won't let us study engineering etc. They keep telling us we must go and work in the mines and get peanuts, then they are crazy! All of a sudden, the cops came with rubber guns and tear gas so they could chase us away. I ran as fast as I could and hid under a car. All I could see was people running away from the cops. I'm so lucky that no one got into the car and drove away,

I just got up from bed and I heard that Nelson Mandela is guilty for what? These white people only think of themselves. I went to the white areas this morning to see if there is a job somewhere in the area, then this white guy came outside and said "Hey you, get out of the area you thing!" I carried on walking, and then the white guy pushed me against the wall and told me "Get out of the area or I'll call the police." I started running and went to the mines.

Jordan Robinson's Recount Entry

Dear Diary,

It is the year 2001 and I am by the twin towers watching as people jump out if the building trying to get out of the way of the crash, the crash of the 9-11 plane, the plane that hit the Twin Towers.
Who would do such a thing? I walked past and then on the other side of the road I saw a t.v in a shop and a news reporter said that Osama Bin Laden and some of his minions did this whole thing. The reporter said that 9 suicide bombers were on 9-11 and they destroyed the twin towers. Poor people, and stupid Osama. There is about 100 fire fighters and 100 policemen.

And then I remembered, my mum and dad work in that building. I sprint to the building but I firefighter stops me and I start wandering where I can find a vent or a secret hatch into the building. I go around the side and I see about 5, 6 maybe 10 hobo's trying to light a fire. I asked them if there is another way into the building and they asked me if I have any change. So I looked around the other corner and there was a small window that was high up. So I got a nearby ladder and climbed up and smashed the window, it hurt though when I got cut by the glass. I climbed through and there was glass and smashed stuff everywhere, so I called out "mum!", "dad!". There was no response so I looked under stuff and over stuff and finally I found my parents, they quickly woke up and clearly they still were a little unconsious and when they were woken up I helped them down the ladder and we got home safe. That was my action packed day.
